I completed my PhD in 2003 at University of Louvain in Belgium in the TELE lab (now called image&signal processing group). I worked on face recognition using images and in particular the combination of different recognition algorithms.
After my PhD, I stayed 3 more years in the TELE lab working on various subjects such as visual tracking (applied to football players tracking) using single and multiple cameras, video segmentation, and low costs human motion capture (I wish to add that this work is pre-Kinect)
I spent 3 years working for Macq electronique (now called simply Macq) on various topics in road traffic surveillance including license plate detection and recognition, video based speed measurements, vehicle categorisations.
I had a great time at Vicon (world experts in motion capture) developing algorithms and implemeting them in products. I contributed to Tracker and Cara.
I am now working at oxehealth on vital sign monitoring using a camera.
